Wine Auction
We’re only a few weeks into the new year, but it’s already shaping up to be one of the most significant in our club’s recent history.
Earlier this month, we hosted a highly successful wine auction – a lively evening that not only brought members and friends together but also achieved its primary goal: securing the funding needed to resurface our tennis courts. This was no small feat, and sincere thanks go to everyone who contributed – from those who donated wine, to our auctioneer, volunteers, and all the generous bidders who made it happen.
With the funds raised, work on the courts is now set to begin shortly. While this means the courts will be out of commission until June, the short-term inconvenience is a small price to pay for the long-term benefits. Once completed, the resurfaced courts will significantly elevate the quality of play and ensure the club continues to offer top-class facilities.
Looking further ahead, please mark your calendars for our Annual General Meeting in June. This will be a vital opportunity to review our progress, discuss future plans, and vote in the new committee. Strong attendance is essential – it’s your club, and your voice matters.
We’re entering an exciting chapter. Let’s stay involved, stay connected, and keep building a club we can all be proud of.
